Casa is an ongoing series photographed across Italy over a number of years, beginning in the village of Patricia Sofra’s grandparents. Rooted in a personal connection to place, the work explores heritage, tradition and the ways cultural memory is carried between generations. Moving between familiar places and encounters beyond the village, Casa considers how ideas of home and belonging can extend beyond a single location. Through everyday rituals, landscapes and traces of family and community life, the photographs reflect on the ways traditions are preserved, altered and passed on over time.
