Patricia Sofra is an Australian photographic artist whose practice explores the relationship between people and their environments. Drawing from her Italian heritage, her work considers the preservation and dissolution of tradition, and the ways traces of the past persist in the present. Through photography, she explores how memory and history shape our perception of place, and the tensions between isolation, belonging and human connection.
Patricia holds a Bachelor of Fine Art (Photography) from the Victorian College of the Arts.
Patricia respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which she lives and works in Melbourne, the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri peoples, and pays her respects to Elders past and present.
